Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APOBEC3B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated APOBEC3B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher APOBEC3B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APOBEC3B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, CESC, and SARC are the cancer types where APOBEC3B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
