Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APLN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated APLN data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher APLN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APLN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC and UCEC are the cancer types where APLN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
