Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APEX2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated APEX2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher APEX2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APEX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and UCEC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where APEX2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
