Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AP1B1P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of AP1B1P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where AP1B1P1 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types AP1B1P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where AP1B1P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
