Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ANKDD1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ANKDD1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where ANKDD1B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ANKDD1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where ANKDD1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
