Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ANGPTL8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ANGPTL8 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher ANGPTL8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ANGPTL8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD and LIHC are the cancer types where ANGPTL8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
