Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AMY1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of AMY1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where AMY1B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types AMY1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, STAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where AMY1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
