Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALOX15P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ALOX15P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where ALOX15P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ALOX15P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KICH, and KIRC are the cancer types where ALOX15P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
