Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALKBH7 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ALKBH7 data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ALKBH7 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALKBH7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and KIRP show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRP, and BLCA are the cancer types where ALKBH7 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
