Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALKBH6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ALKBH6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ALKBH6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ALKBH6 is over-expressed in tumor.

BLCA, COAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where ALKBH6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
