Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALK RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ALK data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ALK RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, STAD, and PAAD are the cancer types where ALK RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
