Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALK Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ALK data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ALK Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LIHC, and READ are the cancer types where ALK Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
