Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALG8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ALG8 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where higher ALG8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALG8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
READ, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where ALG8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
