Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALDH9A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ALDH9A1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher ALDH9A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALDH9A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
MESO, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where ALDH9A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
