Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALDH6A1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ALDH6A1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher ALDH6A1 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALDH6A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and COAD show a favorable association.
CCRCC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where ALDH6A1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
