Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALAS2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ALAS2 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher ALAS2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALAS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

LUAD, UCEC, and STAD are the cancer types where ALAS2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
