Across TCGA cell cohorts, ALAS1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,882 significant associations in total. BLOOD_Leukemia shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible ALAS1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Hemoglobin metabolic process, Hemoglobin biosynthetic process, and Response to hepatocyte growth factor. Each is linked with ALAS1 in more than 16 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both ALAS1-to-partner and partner-to-ALAS1 results are reported.
