Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKT1S1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKT1S1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AKT1S1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKT1S1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and PDAC are the cancer types where AKT1S1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
