Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKR7A2P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of AKR7A2P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where AKR7A2P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types AKR7A2P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, STAD, and THCA are the cancer types where AKR7A2P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
