Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKR1C4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKR1C4 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher AKR1C4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKR1C4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP and SARC are the cancer types where AKR1C4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
