Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKR1C3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKR1C3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher AKR1C3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKR1C3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LIHC show a favorable association.
STAD, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where AKR1C3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
