Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKR1C2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKR1C2 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher AKR1C2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKR1C2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where AKR1C2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
