Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AK2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AK2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AK2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AK2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and COAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, PDAC, and COAD are the cancer types where AK2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
