Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AGPAT2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of AGPAT2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where AGPAT2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types AGPAT2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, LUSC, and THCA are the cancer types where AGPAT2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
