Across TCGA patient cohorts, AFMID mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 17 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible AFMID-associated genes across cancer lineages are p62 Lck ligand, Caspase-7-cleavedD198, and 14-3-3_beta. Each is linked with AFMID in more than 1 cancer types.
