Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AFF3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AFF3 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AFF3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AFF3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC and UCEC are the cancer types where AFF3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
