Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ACVR1B RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ACVR1B data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher ACVR1B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ACVR1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and READ show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCS, and UCEC are the cancer types where ACVR1B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
