Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ACTL6A RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ACTL6A data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher ACTL6A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ACTL6A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and THYM show a favorable association.
ACC, LIHC, and PAAD are the cancer types where ACTL6A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
