Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ACAD9 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ACAD9’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where ACAD9 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ACAD9 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, BLCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where ACAD9 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
