Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ABCD1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 30 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ABCD1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher ABCD1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ABCD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and SARC show a favorable association.

BRCA, LGG, and LIHC are the cancer types where ABCD1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
