Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ABCA12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ABCA12 data layer compared with 13 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ABCA12 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ABCA12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and KIRC show a favorable association.
KIRP, LIHC, and SKCM are the cancer types where ABCA12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
